Susan Collins Can’t Deliver

By the Blue Anchor Project

Senator Susan Collins is the Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee — the single most powerful position in Congress when it comes to federal spending. She controls the checkbook. She decides what gets funded and what gets cut.

And under her leadership, working people across the country are paying the price.

Farmers are being left behind. Defense workers are facing layoffs. Critical research is underfunded. Union jobs — from shipyards to manufacturing — are disappearing. And Collins? She’s too busy protecting her political brand to protect the people she’s supposed to serve.

She shows up to ribbon cuttings and photo ops, pretending to be a champion for workers — then turns around and backs policies that destroy their livelihoods.

Two-faced. Weak. And completely ineffective.

Trump pushes reckless tariffs that threaten rural communities and spike prices on food, fuel, and medicine? Collins goes quiet.

Shipbuilders and defense workers ask for clarity and support? She dodges.

Unions raise the alarm about job losses and funding shortfalls? She hides behind talking points.

She has the gavel — but not the guts. She has the title — but not the results. And now? She controls the checkbook — but the checks keep bouncing.

This is a national crisis. As Appropriations Chair, Susan Collins is supposed to deliver for the American people. But she’s delivering nothing but excuses.

Susan Collins can’t deliver. And working people are done paying the price for her cowardice.
