Stephen Lynch Doesn’t Respect You
By the Blue Anchor Project
At a rally on February 21st in Boston’s West Roxbury neighborhood, Rep. Stephen Lynch (MA-08) made it clear what he thinks of his constituents.
When questioned about his record, Lynch snapped:
“I get to decide that. I get to decide that. I get to decide — I’m elected.”
And when the crowd pushed back, he doubled down:
“You want to decide that, you need to run for Congress.”
That’s not leadership. That’s arrogance.
Lynch has been in Congress for over two decades — and it shows. He’s backed expansions of ICE’s authority, refused to engage in real in-person town halls, and now dismisses any public criticism as beneath him. His message is clear: sit down, shut up, and let him do whatever he wants.
This isn’t how democracy works. Elected officials are supposed to listen, answer to the people, and earn their trust — not belittle them in public and vanish when accountability comes knocking.
So we’re going to his district. We’re holding a public town hall. And if he won’t show up and answer for his record, we will.
Stephen Lynch doesn’t listen. He doesn’t engage. And he sure as hell doesn’t respect the people he works for.
See you soon, Congressman.
